No Stupid Questions Show

A Women’s History Month special, JAG and TLeake debate whether black women should prioritize fighting sexism (over racism).  Listen in as their different chromosomal makeups inform their opposing views on the most "sensible" strategy for black women to move forward in the fight against systemic bias.
 

With the release of documentaries such as “Surviving R. Kelly” and “Leaving Netherland,” the question of separating an artist from their art is extremely timely.  Can we?  Should we?  MUST we?  JAG and TLeake go back and forth as they tackle this question for many so-called artistic “geniuses.”  Listen and let us know your thoughts on the discussion.

As Black History Month 2019 comes to a close, JAG and TLeake discuss its current significance.  After almost 100 years of celebrating, are those who need to taking the responsibility and the opportunity seriously?

In 2019, for the first time, both JAG and TLeake made New Year’s resolutions.   Join them as they discuss the what, why and how they plan to make them effective.  Whether or not you made a New Year’s resolution, listen as JAG and TLeake share their perspectives on setting and achieving goals effectively.

As history tells it, WEB Dubois and Booker T. Washington had two different philosophies on the best was for Black Americans to move forward after slavery (post Civil War).  WEB Dubois prioritized civil liberties and social equality.  Willing to "compromise on social equality," Booker T. Washington believed economic gains and freedom were more important to focus on and fight for.  Join JAG and TLeake as they rehash this age-old debate and feel free to chime in!
